Meet The Seynators - Jérôme Laroubine, Sales Specialist
Découvrez les professionnels et les humains derrière Seyna ! Aujourd'hui, rencontre avec Jérôme Laroubine, Sales Specialist en Santé / Prévoyance
Could you briefly introduce yourself and tell us what your role is at Seyna and how long you've worked here?
I'm Jérôme Laroubine, I'm a Sales Specialist (Health & Personal Protection) and I joined Seyna in April 2023, so it'll soon be a year.
If you had to introduce yourself in 3 words ?
In 3 words, I'd say that I'm an organised, rigorous and serene. Almost painfully optimistic...
Before Seyna, you worked for Veralti - what would you say was one of the most rewarding projects you've worked on, and why?
Before joining Seyna, I worked for over 6 years at Veralti as a sales inspector. To put it simply, I worked with a network of around thirty brokers and helped them develop their business and serve their customers better. And what enriched me the most during that period was the variety and richness of the relationships I built up. You have to imagine yourself as a team of entrepreneurs, each with their own particularities and objectives. Some are generalists, while others are specialists with more specific needs. I had to build relationships and adapt to each of them to help them develop their business and achieve their objectives. It was a very rich experience in human terms.
How did you realise that Seyna was the right next step for you?
After more than six years with Veralti, I really needed a new challenge and Seyna offered me just that! Joining a young organisation like Seyna, where there's still a lot to do, high expectations and rapid development, was exactly what I was looking for at this stage of my career.
So at Seyna you're a Sales Specialist (Health & Personal Protection) - what does that mean / what do you do?
On a day-to-day basis, my role consists of supporting brokers in the creation and marketing of health and provident insurance products. Brokers call on Seyna for a wide range of insurance products as well as for technological solutions. Personally, I deal specifically with health and personal protection insurance products. We work together on the entire strategy for each new product. This ranges from market research to the development of new cover tailored to the target group, right through to marketing the product. Each project is unique. That's why we only work on a made-to-measure basis.
What do you like most about being a Sales Specialist at Seyna?
That's what I've always liked and what I find here is precisely this relationship with the brokers, where I can contribute my know-how and knowledge. This is true both externally and internally. Being responsible for the successful completion of the project means getting involved in all aspects of the partnership: legal, actuarial, commercial, UX, interfacing, etc. I like being able to make my contribution to the project. I love being able to make a contribution in all these areas.
What do you think is your greatest challenge/project at Seyna?
My main mission, and ultimately my greatest project at Seyna, is to develop the business and turnover in the health and provident fields. We're also responsible for ensuring that the programmes break even, so that we can build long-term relationships with our partners.
What qualities are you looking for in team-mates? And what is the value at Seyna that you appreciate the most?
You were talking about the Sales team and it's really interesting for me to point out that I don't just work with the Sales team, but also closely with the Legal and Actuarial team. For me, the main key is effective communication. That's the most important thing for me, so the value that fits me best is 'Grow Together', because I'm convinced that together we can achieve very, very great things.
What's your superpower? What people tell you you can do better and faster than others.
I don't know if I have a superpower, but I'm a pretty organised person. I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm a maniac, but I'm almost 😅. For example, at the end of the week, I don't have a single piece of mail lying around in my inbox. I sort through everything all the time, everything is well filed and tidy. That's the way I do things, both in my professional and personal life.
Finally, what advice would you give to someone considering joining our team? What do you think makes our company a great place to work?
The advice I would give to someone who wants to apply and join the Seyna adventure would be to remain authentic, because above all, we are human. You have to want to join an adventure rather than take a job. There's real added value in joining Seyna, both on a humane level and in terms of skills. Seyna is also a great place to work in the sense that you learn a lot.
As a small organisation with a team of around fifty people protecting over 2 million people, we're constantly being asked to work on new subjects, which makes for a very rewarding experience. So today we're working on one subject, tomorrow we'll be working on another, and the day after tomorrow we'll be working on yet another. It's a chance to work with so many dedicated people on the same ambitious vision. That's what makes it such a rewarding experience and why I chose to join Seyna, and I'm glad I did!
